About MSLA

The MSLA ( Malta School Library Association) has been up and running since 2000. It is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) and a self-supporting body that was created to represent the interests of school librarians and all its members.
During regular monthly meetings, matters concerning school libraries in Malta and Gozo are discussed.
This site aims to share good practice and divulge information about activities organised for school librarians and for others interested in school libraries.
In this regard, activities like Prize Giving Ceremonies (The School Library and School Librarian of the Year, Secondary and Primary Schools competitions), Seminars and activities celebrating World Book Day (WBD), are covered.
MSLA supports the Schools Library Service (SLS) in organising these activities. Our operational core is to enhance school libraries across the Maltese Islands and increase their effectiveness in providing all stakeholders the best service possible.
